LIFE is the financial instrument that supports environmental and nature conservation projects throughout the European Union. LIFE has co-financed around 3,954 projects, contributing approximately 3.1 billion Euros to the protection of the environment.
Nature Network 2000
Nature Network 2000 is the centerpiece of the policy on nature and biodiversity of the European Union. It is a Network of protected natural areas throughout the European Union established under the 1992 Habitats Directive. The goal of the network is to ensure the long-term conservation of the most valuable and threatened natural spaces and species in Europe.
